Peter O'Grady WalshePeter O’Grady Walshe– Chairman

Peter is a graduate of University College Dublin and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He has worked with KPMG in Dublin, London and Philadelphia and was previously an executive director of NCB Corporate Finance (now Investec). He has been involved in the acquisition of a number of businesses over the last 20 years and has in the past served as an executive director of Paddy Power plc and Xtra-vision Limited. Peter took over as chairman of John Paul Construction in 2016 and brings enormous business acumen and experience to the Board.


Eamon Booth - Managing DirectorEamon Booth – Managing Director

Eamon joined the Group in 1978 and operated at Site Engineer, Project Manager and Contracts Manager level, across a wide range of projects and sectors before being appointed to the Board in 1998. As part of the senior team who negotiated the management buyout of the company in 2002, he has been involved in the strategic direction of the Group for the past 12 years. Eamon was appointed Managing Director in 2006 and has guided the business in diversifying internationally over recent years and developing growing operations in the UK and Saudi Arabia.


Donal Winters - Operations DirectorDonal Winters – Operations Director

Donal joined our surveying team in 1978 where he was involved in a variety of building and civil engineering projects. He was appointed as Contracts Manager in 1988 during which time he successfully managed a variety of high profile projects. His 36 years of construction experience with John Paul includes prestigious projects across several sectors, such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, education, industrial and refurbishment. Donal joined the Board as Operations Director in 1999 and remains very much hands-on in his role.



Conor O'Donnell - Finance DirectorConor O’Donnell – Financial Director

Conor qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and joined us in 1990.  He was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in 1991.  He was part of the negotiating team that led to the management buy out of the company in 2002 and has been closely involved in the strategic management of the company since.  He is responsible for all aspects of the finance function including accounting, treasury, financial planning, company secretarial and IT.



Paul DennisPaul Dennis – UK Director

Paul has over 30 years construction experience with a proven track record across a broad range of sectors in the UK. He spent the first 27 years of his career working for leading UK construction companies before joining us in 2015. Paul is responsible for our UK operations and ensuring growth in the UK market. Paul has Director Experience for the last 13 years with and is a highly effective leader with an in-depth understanding of the Industry.
